They are from the mid sixties, I have a bid on ebay for a Leedy floor tom from the same era. The floor tom is a 16x16 in blue sparkle, but will be rewrapped in silver sparkle to match these. This will be a nice kit to compliment my Ludwigs. NettetThe floor tom shell is five plies with a top reinforcement hoop of five plies (all other Hollywood drum shells were made without reinforcement hoops, a la Gretsch). One can appreciate the need of a glue ring on the top bearing edge with the stress put on the shell by the tunable system.
